Dealing with gunnera

To go out and spray gunnera we need the weather to play ball! But there are steps you can take if we aren’t able to get out to spray. If you have spotted gunnera on your property, watch the short video below to find out how to remove it safely.

Remember, if you have gunnera on your property (on Galson Estate) and would like us to spray when we are able to, please contact the office to let us know the location and provide us with permission to spray on your land.

Step one: Locate gunnera

Step two - Identify the seedhead

Step three - Cover the seedhead with a bag

Step four - Carefully remove the seedhead at the stem

Step five - Tie the bag securely and dispose of in your non recycable waste bin
