The Galson Estate Trust is a community organisation,
run on behalf of the community, for the community.
​
As well as a dedicated team of staff, the Members, Board of Directors
and volunteers all work together to create a stronger, more sustainable community in North Lewis.

Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn currently employs 15 members of staff on various contracts, both full and part-time.
13 employees are based at the Business Centre and 2 at the Habost Amenity Site.

The Urras board currently consists of 9 directors, all of whom are elected by the Urras membership.
The directors meet once a month to discuss estate business and projects.

Membership of the trust costs £1 and ​is available to all those over 16 years of age.

In 2022 we had 784 members of the Galson Estate Trust.
