The Galson Estate Trust is an organisation
run on behalf of the community, for the community.

As well as a dedicated team of staff, the members, Board of Directors and volunteers all work together to create a stronger, more sustainable community in North Lewis.

Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn currently employs 14 members of staff on various contracts, both full and part-time.
12 employees are based at the Business Centre and two at the Habost Amenity Site.

The Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn board currently consists of 11 directors, all of whom are elected by the Urras membership.
The directors meet once a month to discuss estate business and projects.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers, both from our own membership and from out with the community. These volunteers make up our board members, sub-group representatives, and many skilled individuals. Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn would not be what it is without these volunteers.
