Ness FC Social Club has received £2,000 from Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn’s Community Investment Fund to improve the facilities used by the club, its popular Social Café and a range of community events.
The funding will contribute towards new heating for the café area, more suitable seating, upgraded kitchen facilities and signage to promote the café to passing traffic. These improvements will create a warmer and more welcoming environment for visitors while ensuring the venue can continue to accommodate community activities and visiting caterers.
The Social Café has become a valued regular gathering, offering an affordable and welcoming place for people to meet and socialise. It plays an important role in reducing social isolation within the rural community and provides volunteering opportunities for local residents, including those who are new to the area and looking to build connections.
These improvements will help Ness FC Social Club continue to provide an important community facility while creating further opportunities for social activities, volunteering and local events.
