Sgoil an Taobh Siar was awarded a CIF grant of £1750 to go towards their Primary 6/7 school trip to Badaguish Forest Lodges in Aviemore before the summer holidays..
A representative from Sgoil an Taobh Siar commented: “The funding we received gave financial peace of mind and helped hugely towards covering the large costs of a mainland school trip. We are grateful as a school for the support and the pupils and parents appreciate all that is done to keep costs down. The funding helped to make the school trip possible and eased the pressures we are confronted with.”
Heather Macleod, Development Officer, Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn added: “We are committed to supporting organisations working within Galson Estate, where community members, especially young people, can directly benefit from funding opportunities like the Community Investment Fund.”
