Remedial works at the Port of Ness access road got underway on 19th April and the contractor, Duncan Mackay & Sons, expects to be on site for 6 weeks. Anyone requiring vehicular access to the harbour area during this period should contact Murdo Murray (07900 442497) in order to make arrangements with the contractor.

Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn has confirmed the award of a contract for remedial work following the recent landslip next to the access road. The contractor Duncan Mackay & Sons is due to start works on the 19th April and activity is expected to last for six weeks from this date. The contractor anticipates that some access to the harbour area can be allowed during various stages of the works and a liaison process will be set up for those requiring vehicular access.
