We are delighted to be welcoming ALM Hub to the Business Centre on Wednesday 10th December to deliver a recruitment drive focused on high-quality, long-term employment opportunities that can be done remotely from the islands.

This visit offers a fantastic opportunity for local people who are interested in building a professional career while continuing to live and work in their own community.

Recruitment Day - What to Expect

The visiting company will be running two open information sessions at our office on the 10th of December:

  • 6pm Information Session

Between these sessions, they will also be available for informal 1:1 chats for anyone who would like to ask questions or discuss the opportunity in more detail. Teas and coffees will be available, and no booking is required, just drop in.

About the Roles on Offer

The roles being promoted are for Trainee Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Coaches. These are fully remote, home-based positions supporting legal firms across Scotland and beyond with their AML onboarding processes.

This is a chance to develop a skilled, future-proof career in a growing sector, with full training provided and clear progression opportunities.

Salary and progression:

  • Starting salary: £26,000

  • After 4–6 months of training: £28,000

  • From Year 2: £32,000

  • Fully remote working

  • Long-term career development

  • Ongoing recruitment planned through 2026–2027

The company plans to create over 20 new careers across the Western Highlands and Islands by May 2027, with training intakes taking place every few months.

The first trainee group is currently scheduled to start in February 2026, however anyone interested but unable to start at that time is encouraged to still attend and express interest for later start dates.

Why This Matters for the Galson Estate Area

We are committed to supporting sustainable economic development within our community. Opportunities like this allow people to:

  • Access professional employment without relocating

  • Earn competitive salaries while living locally

  • Gain recognised skills in a growing industry

  • Contribute to the long-term sustainability of the local area

  • Enjoy the work life balance of living in an exceptional place with access to a rewarding career

By bringing this recruitment drive directly to Galson, we hope to make these opportunities more accessible to people across our estate and the surrounding area.
