CIF development Grant

The Community Investment Fund (CIF) is a funding programme managed by Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn, designed to support local organisations in delivering services that benefit the Galson Estate community. Established to reinvest income generated from renewable energy projects, the CIF provides not only financial support but also offers tailored advice, training, guidance, and ongoing aftercare to help projects succeed and grow.

The fund is aimed at initiatives that align with the broader objectives of Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn. These objectives are to:

  • Develop skills and learning opportunities

  • Improve health and wellbeing

  • Relieve poverty and financial hardship

  • Protect and conserve the natural environment

  • Safeguard and celebrate local heritage and culture

  • Support the development of key industry sectors

  • Encourage active and inclusive community participation

If you are looking for over £2,000 in funding, the CIF Development Grant may be the appropriate fund for your organisation. We welcome applications from projects that can clearly demonstrate how they contribute to these aims and bring long-term value to our community.

Before applying for a CIF Development Grant, please ensure you have read the Terms & Conditions and accompanying guidance documents. We also encourage you to contact the CIF team for an informal discussion prior to submitting your application to ensure you are applying for the correct fund. We can also support you with completing your application if necessary. To enquire about the Development Grant, please email cif@uogltd.com or call us on 01851 850 411.
