Urras Kicks-Off New Initiative - Fàs

Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn has launched a new initiative called Fàs as part of its ten year anniversary programme. Fàs kicks off with a series of workshops and supporting advice, designed to assist businesses and organisations to develop and prosper.

Topics covered by these workshops over the course of 2017 will include managing projects, human resources, leadership development, market research, digital marketing, customer service, succession planning, finance and social media.

Workshops will take place at the UOG Business Centre in South Galson and be run by a range of providers including the Urras itself and Business Gateway trainers.

Lisa Maclean, Commercial Development Manager with the Urras, commented “Fàs has been established to support organisation and business start-up, growth and development. It's an initiative designed to offer practical support to organisations and businesses to seize opportunities, improve performance, deliver projects and help them to prosper. This is an early action under our new 2017-37 Strategic Plan and we look forward to working with organisations and businesses across the Estate over the months ahead.”

The first Fàs event is a Managing Projects half-day workshop which is being held on Friday 24th February at the UOG Business Centre with registration at 9.30am. It is an entry level course on planning and delivering projects more effectively, ideal for organisations and businesses that are in early planning or delivery stages.

The second Fàs event is Digital Marketing Tools half-day workshop which is being run by Business Gateway on Wednesday 1st March between 10am and 1pm at the UOG Business Centre.
