Oifigear Leasachaidh Gàidhlig | Gaelic Development Officer
Shona joined UOG in September 2018 as Gaelic Development Officer, a 2-year post funded by UOG, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Bòrd na Gàidhlig. She works with local organisations and businesses, helping them to use Gaelic in everyday life to strengthen and nurture it and identifying opportunities to work in partnership. She studied Gaelic and Media at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig for three years and has worked in Gaelic development since 2013. She is from Doune Carloway but lives in Tolstachaolais. She is the chairperson of Còisir Ghàidhlig Chàrlabhaigh. She has ties to Borve on her father’s side of the family.
