Creation of employment was the top priority highlighted during the recent “Have Your Say” open evening for the Urras membership. The Urras currently employs five people, two full-time (based at Buth Lisa) and three part-time. Over the last few years we have also taken on a number of summer student placements for various projects.
Julie Sievewright (Lionel) has been an employee with the Urras since 2005 and has recently had her contract renewed till 2011.
Kirsty Maclennan, who is from Callanish, graduated this year from The University of Paisley with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. She is employed on contract till March 2011.
Joanne Matheson (Eoropie) works part-time as administrator for the Urras. She works from home and has been employed by the Urras since July 2007.
Iain (Tiny) Macleod (Habost) & Finlay Campbell (Habost) have been operating the site for the Urras since it opened in March 2008.
