As well as the main board the directors have also formed small sub groups to deal with different projects on the estate.
Renewables – this sub group is chaired by Carola Bell and deals with the development of renewable projects on the estate.
Ranger Service / Land Management – chaired by Mairi Smith this group oversees the work of the land ranger and any land management related projects on the estate.
Estate Business – This group is chaired by Norman Thomson and deals with crofting related matters and commercial activities such as sand extraction and leases.
Building – chaired by Donald Macleod this group is currently working on a proposed new office building for Urras Oigreachd Ghabhsainn.
Youth Forum – Chaired by Hilary Morrison. The youth Forum works to give young people some input into the trusts decision making processes by voicing the views of young people in the community.
THETA - This was a year long project run in partnership with Lews Castle College involving our Ranger Julie Sievewright and Prof Frank Rennie looking at tourism and technology.
