LED Community - Part Time - Administrative Officer

 

0.5 FTE Fixed term contract till 31st March 2018

Salary Scale: £21,776 - £24,370 p.a Pro Rata

 

(Including island allowance)

25 days annual leave and 15 public holidays pro rata

 

TIG is seeking an able individual to assist in the administration of our services with particular responsibility for our LED Community project with Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh & Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn. We are committed to providing excellent customer care and expect candidates to demonstrate the ability to deal courteously with clients and business partners at all times. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in word processing, working with spreadsheets, databases and general office skills. A relevant qualification or training will be an advantage.

LED Community - Project Officers - Two Posts

 

1 FTE Fixed term contract till 31st March 2018

TIG is seeking two experienced and suitably qualified individuals for the role of the LED Community – Project Officer. Being delivered by TIG in partnership with Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh & Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn, the project aims to reduce energy consumption and cut bills by taking action on a number of energy efficiency fronts. The officers will provide advice on fuel poverty, carbon reduction and energy efficiency principally through an energy home visit service for people throughout both estate areas on the Western Isles. Working as part of the TIG team the officers will supply and install free LED bulbs, undertake Energy Performance surveys and provide EPC’s to all participating households.  In addition they will be expected to offer tariff and heating advice; billing enquiries advice; and information on funding for insulation measures, while also referring clients onto relevant organisations. The officers will, manage data input and monitor an effective database and report regularly to management and funders.

 

Educated to degree level, the successful applicants will have had a minimum of 2 years energy efficiency experience, as well as IT experience and be competent in all current office computer packages. A formal relevant qualification in energy awareness and registration as an assessor with an EPC protocol body are essential requirements.
